Default Brushless Motor - Maintenance

OK, my second dumbass question of the day is as follows..

I recently bought a 2nd hand Nosram 3 star brushless motor. the first thing I did when I received it was strip it down to have a look at the condition of it.

Since doing this, I now know that it is possible to adjust the timing on some brushless motors. Is there any way of checking what the timing is on the motor? and what it should be?

I basically assembled it the same way I took it apart. Would it be possible to have adjusted the timing without knowing? also, could it potentially damage my speedo?

Thanks,

Chris.

set it on 2 degree (default) and leave it like that, I have never wanted to play with timing on my brushless motors.

Hello!

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not actually sure how to do that?

I have no reason to adjust the timing on it either, but I am not sure what it is currently set at?

Thanks.

the should be a notch on the solder tab end of the can, this should line up with marks on the label of the can - set it to 2.

ah, that might explain why I can't see it. The label has been removed from the can of the motor!
