hi all ive just got a x6 and its got a carbon fiber motor plate are they ok or should i fit a metal one

The carbon plate was done by Mr.Atterton at Teesside I believe.
My personal opinion is the alloy is needed for cooling, id recommend never running the carbon one for that reason alone.. But don't get me wrong, Glenn does some wicked CF stuff, especially the anti-squat shims. The motor plate is just not an item to make CF. |

The 4 gear will use a different motorplate anyway....
