Default New throttle servo interference when steering ??

As above really.

My throttle servo died a sudden death 2 mins before my 1st heat on thursday night .

It's a 2.4 Ghz system on a TT EB-4 S2.

I've just replaced the dead kit servo with a bog standard Futaba S3003. (being led to believe this is equivalent to the original). Now when i use the steering i seem to be getting erratic movement/twitching of the new throttle servo causing the car to keep revving.

The only thing i changed was the direction of the servo on the transmitter as it was going in the wrong direction for throttle use.

I've checked neither connections into the reciever are touching, also is it possible that when steering, the steering servo drains too much current from the power source causing the throttle servo to become twitchy, assuming the new Futaba S3003 isn't 'man' enough for the job ? I'm clutching at straws as i can't think what else would cause it ??

Any pointers appreciated

(NB, i have swapped both servo connections on the reciever but again, when i now use the trigger instead of the wheel to operate the steering the throttle servo still twitches, so i'm guessing it is throttle servo related not the reciever)
