Check your driveshafts aren't hitting the diff at max plunge. If they are, shim out as needed to avoid.

been running b4 cars on and off for the past 15 years, never had a screw failure... But i would rebuild my diff at regular intervals that included new screw and lock nut.

Same here... never happened to me in the past few years, B4, B4.1...
Snapped diff screw usually means too much tension, are all the internals present or is one level of thickness missing (one of the thrust rings?) B4 diff is litterally bomb-proof and the best ball diff in RC... It could also be coming from an external component (bone hitting diff, ...) Paul |

When you set the diff are you tightening it up too tight before you back it off. You could be doing the damage then

I had one snap at the end of last year.
Didn't even touch it, picked the car up and span the diff over and it just let go, but that is the only one I have had it happen to. |

I've had two screws break on me in the last year or so. What's strange is it's usually something in the pits, like E said, and not out on the track during a run. Both of mine went as I was checking the slipper before a run.

Sorry but Titanium is more likely to snap than the standard screw, its a more brittle steel.. If you can get High Tensile that'd likely be strongest.

Agreed! And jokes aside, if this was never a problem before maybe the best solution is to use an old B4 diff screw? US made...
Hudy has the best steel ever!!! They call it "spring steel", amazing stuff!

The screw doesn't have to be shouldered, perhaps if you can get the right thread and length with button or cap head hex socket, in spring steel or high tensile, you may have to buy in bulk, but sell to other racers in packs of 10 and get your money back?
