Default Receiver cut out - BEC or HRS issue?

heres a strange one for you im having trouble resolving.

In my mardave i have the following:

2600mah 20C LiPo
mTroniks Storm X ESC (from modelsport)
HPI 20T Saturn motor
Spektrum SR3000 HRS Receiver

All seems to run ok, but when i steer anything near to track speed steering, the receiver cuts out.

I've come to the conclusing that this must either be an issue with the BEC lead power from ESC to receiver, or the ESC doesnt like the HRS Spektrum.

Personally i think its the BEC, but how to i get round this issue. The ESC is all pre soldered and closed, so i cant even add a power cap can i?

Slightly miffed with this one now.

Any ideas?

Try plugging on of these into the receiver

http://www.jespares.com/nitro-models...yword=spektrum

Should stop the voltage dropping so low that the receiver turns off and then has to rebind

because your running a low votage to start with in a mardave at 4.8v the receiver needs a constant flow at the same current which fluctuates at lower currents when you esc its drawing power.putting in a power cap will solve your problem there cheaper to make tho rather then buying search 10v 4700uf on ebay and use an old servo plug to wire it up.
red to + black to - on the cap and in the red and black slots on the plug for the receiver and your sorted.just stick it in any spare socket

I wouldn't put the Mardave in the bin... try putting the Mtroniks speed controller in the bin.

If you have another brushed speed controller that you can try, I'll wager your problem will go away. There are lots of GOOOD quality ESCs out there, either gathering dust in people's pit boxes or going for a song on eBay.

I have tried with another ESC, but its not LiPo compatible so i dont really wanna use it.

The BEC issue seems to be common with Spektrum, although this is the first time ive had it. Ill try the cap, and then look at another ESC if needs be.

Problem is i'm limited on options. There arent many out there that are for brushed motors, Lipo battery, support 20T motor, and are not expensive... its only mardave racing - 45 quid is expensive for this shizzle.

My TC is where the major money goes. Mardave is just fun.

the power cap will sort the problem and you shouldnt need a new esc
