Default Telstar Racing meeting Friday 02 December

Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of running a meeting on the Friday before every Winter Series. This will be once a month only, and would not replace the Wednesday meeting.

By doing this we are hoping to be able to spend even more time on the tracks for the winter series, as the carpet and rostrum could be left in place until the Sunday. More time = Bigger and Better

Let me know what you think, and if we can get enough people then we will run a meeting.

Thanks

Matt

It's hard to get a look in with Pupton doing his standard 8 hours of practice!

Just a thought, but for those of us who travel for the winter series (myself and two others live two hours away!) if the same track was used on the friday night and the sunday, then those who live locally would gain additional practice and set up time? Personally im not that fussed, but as it is everyone turns up on the sunday with no knowledge of the track, with the exception of a couple of people! Anyways, really enjoyed the first two rounds of the winter series, with a good bunch of people

By the way, are there any results/photos posted anywhere?

The plan is to have a different track from the Friday to the Sunday meetings... perhaps not 100% different but many of the 'bigger' features don't get used for club nights.

It's just things like the carpet, rostrum etc would already be in place from the friday to enable us to work on better tracks for the winter series dates!

Hi Liam is correct. The track will be changed for the Sunday series, it just means that the majority of the track will be on the hall for the Saturday morning setup.

In regard to results, I'm putting them on the website as I write this! I'm really pleased that you have enjoyed both rounds so far. The more meetings we run, the more experiance we get, and the more we can reinvest back into the tracks and other features.

The plan is to run outdoors next spring/summer, and locate a site for a permanent outdoor track.

Thanks,

Matt
