Default menace 21

could anyone please help, my freind bought a menace 21 thats been stood awhile, i have managed to get it to run ok on stand, ( but wheels dont stop turning even on tickover) but soon as it is placed on the floor it stops, also if we try to start it on the floor the car is in drive and wants to go as we turn it over. any suggestions would be great.

Sounds like the clutch is engaged. When a spring in one or more of the clutch shoes is weak or broken the gear stays engaged and doesn't allow the engine to generate enough rpm, causing the flameout. Replace the shoes and springs, it should fix the problem.

Or it could be that your idle is too high also. Your best bet is to go to a local hobby shop and ask for help from someone who has experience with a nitro motor.

I Don't know the kit but looked it up and saw that its a two shoe clutch, its not too hard to re-do but you'll definately need some needle nose pliers and some patience to complete it....good luck.
