Default TRF201 THUMBSCREW BLING (who's interested)

Hi guys, just had a chat with tony evdo, of rudebits and he has asked for a rough idea on numbers of people who want/need sexy thumbscrews for their 201.
They will be star shaped, as used by Lee Martin to take the 2010 european title.
I can vouch for how nice these look and are waaaaaay easier than the std ones to use.
Please place your names below if interested. Should only be a couple of weeks wait
Cheers
Andy

Yep, depending on price I'd be interested too!

Have you got a photo of Lee's car with them on?

Rudebits' thumb screws look very nice though it looks like a screw is fixed within the thumb screw and then it screws into the chassis. Overtime with constant doing/undoing, won't this strip the thread in the chassis? Or do they work like the original thumb nuts and do up on the 3x12mm screws?

I suppose they could be used on a threaded bar as a std screw or in the way lee has them fitted

I know that Lee runs a 5300 LiPo and a plate underneath so there's a chance that the std grub screw isnt long enough. My suggestion would be to put a long allen bolt into the chassis then cut the end off after you have worked out what length you need to have showing to provide a good fixing.

Screwing the bolt in and out of the plastic each time is a pain and prefer the way the system works on the Associated 2WD cars...

Hi yah all
I can't belive the lenghths Griff has to go to for a screw. Oh!!!! Sorry a word missing there 'thumb' LOL

Firstly they will come in pairs (obviously) and they will include a long crub screw to screw into the chassis and then the thumb screw on and off - this way like Matt said there is no ware on the car itself.
We are looking at around 2 weeks to get these done and will cost in the region of £7 per pair.
Anyone that know me and the way i work then they will also know that i will try and get this price down towards a blue one (£5) but cannot promise yet.

Cheers for now all and keep putting names down otherwise the first batch might end up short of the need/desire

Ta again
Nice photo Matt - yes please on email
