Hi,
Witnessed a few decent tyres in the bin at Taplow last week, also speaking to Tony Evodka the top boys use one set of tyres per race at competitive events. Someone else has told me he saved about 4 sets from a bin once when they were just thrown away ![]() Now, those that know me know I'm no greenie but surely there is a better way to recycle these tyres, even if they are on rims with foams. Some I've seen some that are barely used ![]() Does anyone else have this issue at there club?, what have you done?. could the top boys put them into a collection box or even stock pile them to sell on cheaply? Seems a shame to waste them all when they could go to people starting out and kids on budgets ![]() Discuss

I for one would love some old wheels and tyres, as I want to teach my sons to drive the car, but would struggle to afford new ones every 10 mins (have to run on tarmac when the weather is bad!)
Maybe a recycling bin would be a good idea at big meetings, the content sold on with the money going back into the club, or even charity? |

Seems there are people at Taplow with more money than sense. I know this type of stupidity happens at nationals but anyone who spends that much money at a club meet is a fool!
