just thought as a newbie i'd share my Rat build as it currently stands, as others have said, very impressed with the quality of plastics, fit etc. A few parts almost too good a fit (ie, screws into anything plastic, wishbones, rear tower to chassis to name a few), here it is so far:
I bought this kit as i have a
very old Cougar (1991??) with working electronics, albeit antiquated, lol, including a Reedy modified motor, state of the art Silverstar Speedmaster esc
I thought it'd be cool to buy a cheap kit & use the old gear, run it for fun & maybe the odd sunday club thrash thrown in.
I've also stripped, cleaned & re-oiled some (again) ancient traxxas alloy shocks which were an upgrade on the old Cougar using a mix of old & new kits shock parts to make up a good set, without the pop off cap facility the plastic ones seem to come with.
I'll add more pics as & when i get time to continue the build.
