main one for me was was the ball joints on the rear plate three in one meeting once but apart from that they are pretty bullet proof

Ive broken loads on my car but anyone who's seen me drive can see why, front bulkheads and front wishbones are the most popular.....

then i think its safe to say you wont break much...if there was a trend in trhe breaking then you would spot a weak point....
but as people break different things it shows how hard it is!!! to be on the safe side i would purchase some frnt axles, frnt and rear arms and frnt and rear tower..... you should not break anything else really.......

I broke a 30 deg hub carrier yesterday but I did hit a track marker very hard other than that the usual. The plastic parts seem to be stronger than the graphite and cheeper.

The B4 is pretty bulletproof with enough flex in the right places to absorb most impacts. The pic below shows the sum total of damage from one incident being both shock towers, a split shell and some non round wheels...
http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/DSC01852.jpg ...except that incident was my dad actually running his buggy over with the full size car on the way to the Tiverton National!! And that was twice as the car stalled on the first attempt!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Suppose it was quite early in the morning... ![]()

As I buy the parts for a group of newbies with a brushless motors, of which I am one, I feel I am best placed to answer this question :-)
Different people break different stuff. Get yourself some front arms and some shock towers, front and back. As every other person has a B4 you can always get hold of anything else by the track |

Delanobe,
start with: front and rear towers front and rear A arms front bulkhead a small amount of screws other small parts is stuff we, your clubmates, have at races and you can borrow them and give one back later. If you have more cash to spend on spares add this: front steering blocks front caster blocks (30°) !! rear hubs screws spur top plate ball studs

Front A Arms (Plastic Composite or Graphite, but mostly graphite)
Wing (Both stock and JConcepts wings break on the sides.) I always have a spare or two. I've had the rear shocks disconnect from the a arms but adding a washer in front of them fixed that issue. |
