Default Appologies

Sorry for upsetting members with my comments but don't have a lot of time to do what i would like to. As most of my pc time is done in work with a boss watching me like a hawk. My home pc is not available due to haveing young kids etc and unless you have these you won't know what i mean

So when i do an advert it needs to be done asap so dont have tiime to upload pictures etc.

Again sorry to offend and hopefully this will be the end

Sorry

I got caught out by the same thing, knew I should have read the rules again when I saw the changes!

Can see why they've changed the rules, but some of the criticism of you on the other thread by some other people was well overboard mate!

Hmm I agree a bit, I do understand were the rule is comming from as if no photo does the item exist? but I survive on the second hand section as i run on budget, and it's frustrating when stuff get delited.

I fully agree with price as I hate those closed bid (offers)posts, if your going to sell it have a price! if it's to high possible buyers will soon tell you (I do)

As for the photos I do understand the probs, but if you explain why you can't post a photo or if it's a small part I think it should be left to the buyer if he wants to take the risk. It most frustrating to see so many deleted posts in the forsale section. and sellers thinking "sod it then"

Like has been posted before, one of the biggest things people should be aware of is most people ask for payment via paypal gift, for the obvious reason, but if you pay via gift you are unprotected, people should add a couple of quid to cover paypal charge.

Also if you are concerned about a scammer, do to things, look at the post count, if the member has more than 30posts they are prob genuine, If not ask a few questions, also take a look in the feedback section, thats why it's there, I have bought loads and loads of stuff on oople, and I have found every member great to deal with

I don't think an apologie was needed from you to be honest. You expressed your views and others (including myself) expressed theirs.

I'd echo Showtimes post in that respect.

I know where your coming from, with kids etc. I can't do anything while at work, so mine has to be done of a night time, with them around.

We all have our own ideology at the end of the day. On this subject we disagree, but isn't that human. It would be boring if we were all the same...

Big up for doing an apologie though (although it wasn't needed, in my eyes)

I've been on forums where you have to pay to be a member before you can sell anything on there.
I've also been on forums where anything over a tenner requires pics and prices.
I prefer the 2nd option, without either it just looks like they can't be bothered and the no prices was really frustrating.

Mainly bought and sold on the bay before someone at EPR told me about this site, haven't sold alot here but have bought alot - to that end I don't think it would be too harsh if we did pay a small donation fee for items sold here...works out you pay almost 14% of item once you factor all the different fee's in on the bay.

You kind don't mind paying those fee's because the bay is giving you access to a huge catchment area.....now on oople the entire catchment area are rc minded people, so would a fee to oople really be inappropriate?

I'd certainly still sell on here even if there was a fee.......can almost feel a poll coming on

It's fee free at present but a donation goes a long way and it doesn't get advertised a lot so here goes, click or use the same icon on the top right of the page next to the camera

Tell you what then, i'll start my own trend, whenever anything of mine sells here will put 5% of total sale back into oople

(still think if there was a fee, it would be a small price to pay for accessing a top site )

just for the record,

the donations go towards keeping o0ple at the forefront of the RC World . I'd be a little concerned if The Boss & his team of helpers turn out with a Ferrari each, and by that I mean a real one and not a Tamiya copy
