Thumbs down What the hell @ oOple admins?

Hey guys,
I usually fly helicopters, but it was decided that me and c0sie were going to get a drifting car on the go! Anyway, with a bit of googling around i saw an item of interest in the for sale section here, so i signed up and sent the user a private message. The next day (today) i login and i've been banned for "unspecified reason", so i assume that people think because they have 0 posts they are a scammer? As far as i saw in the for sale section there was no rules about people wanting to buy stuff in the for sale section without any posts, so why the immediate ban without even seeing if i was a real user?
Anyway, more to the point than anything, i just wanted to ALERT you i'm a real user, so it would be nice to not be banned!

Think there have been a few scammers knocking about, unfortunatly it will trap the odd genuine person. Am sure if you PM the relevant people they will sort it out.

Did you perchance happen to be the user I banned yesterday for putting something other than an RC car in the human verification question?

well if i get banned again i just won't return lol, i'll go elsewhere if need be

edit: jimmy if you could remove the other account "add1ct3dd" instead of just ban that would be awesome, currently i can't login in chrome without clearing all my cookies, and i can't really clear them all just for one site

Default Whats the point - adverts being deleted

Just had my advert deleted - whats the point in having a forsale section if pictures are needed - obviously any disputes are raised and followed in the personnel part at the bottom. but most people either know who they are dealing with or get a good deal 9 times out of ten.

I havent got time to send pictures and once more can not on certain pcs so think oople might lose a few members as we can not move stuff on were other sites we can

Are you actually real?? the whole point of needing a picture is to prove your not a scammer!!!

And all other RC forums i go on also require pictures or it gets deleted.

Most require a pic+ A sheet with your username and the date! so think just having pics is pretty easy tbh..

Its here http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59445

Simply to protect genuine people from scammers. How would you feel if you were the one that lost out due to a fake add?

Also remember this isn't Ebay, there is no charge made for adverts

don't use paypal gift, it's simple, if you go through the books you can hardly get scammed!

if they try to claim money back, ensure you have your proof of postage and it's all done.

i've been there done that, but my point was i was banned without even finding out if i was a real user or not, most people would have never come back or known to user another browser to get around the ban.

haven't got time to send pictures? sorry haven't got time to consider your items!

might lose members as we can not move stuff on! if your only concern about using the site is to "move stuff on" then you probably wont be missed anyway

oh just one other thing, you can move stuff on using this site you just need to follow the rules which are the same for everybody

I'm not sucking up to Jimmy, but...

I totally agree with all the changes in the For Sale section. I run a RC Forum, quite a lot smaller than oOple, but my rules are very similar.

Also, as a buyer, i just want to click on an add and see everything. If an add hasn't got pics/price/proper info, i just leave the add. I might be missing a bargain, but i can't be arsed with PM's and e-mails. I haven't got time. You want to sell it. Then advertise it Properly !

There, my rant over.

p.s. Love You Jimmy

Totally agree with the above...

If you don't have the time.. or cant be bothered to take pictures and post them up. Which takes about 5 mins tops. Then, In the end you are the one loosing out. As 90% of people will ignore the add, as it shows. The seller, cba to put effort in to properly sell the item. The item, may be worse than described.. all in all... its just doesn't look good. Thats why, Adds with better quality pics.. generally sell for higher prices. As people can clearly see what there buying...

I don't want to have to PM and email for pictures.. all the lack of info and pics.. tells me there is something the seller isn't telling/showing..And if people cannot be bother'd to sell there item's like the rules state.. then frankly they should be removed!

I'll close this since it's silly.
When you registered you answered the question about what was your first/next/any rc car with an answer that wasn't an RC car - that, coupled with a strange name and Gmail account mean I have no way to assume you're a genuine user. It's very rare to mistakenly ban someone but it looks to have happened here.

All you have to do is contact us to quickly resolve it - as quick as I banned you in the first place. you don't have to presume it's for a reason or you're being picked on, because you weren't.
