Default 7.2v servo's

Can someon please link me to the right type of choke you need for 7.2v servo's. Normally i dont run one in my 2wd as its only a cheap KO servo so didnt see the point as it worked fine without one but with my new 2123 coming for my xx4 its a bit more exspensive so i want one for both of them.

You should always run a FET choke when using a 7.2v servo regardless of car. It helps prevent voltage spikes running to the servo which can cause glitching/interference.

No Ash, a choke (inductor) is not polarity sensative - which means you can connect it either way round.

You can get them from electronics shops for pennies, not sure of the exact specs you want though. 4.7mH rings a bell for some reason...

Also is it ok to use this little plug thats on the servo ir is it best to just solder it on as it looks alittle loose. May come apart mid race.

I use the little connector with some heatshrink over it to stop it coming apart.

OK i think ill just solder it it saves on length as the length on the servo alone is long enough to reach from the servo to the speedo so ill just wire it dirrect.

Got it in and done all the wiring put the choke between the servo and the plug then just soldered the plug onto the speedo blue wire and joined them up ace

And look at the blink of the nortec blue washers and nortec screws there ace!!!!

Again another crap picture from my webcam but it looks ace well chuffed now ive gathered the reciever wire up to so its in sorta nice tidy pile thing lol
