It's not a Ferrari in real terms

It's a one off motorcyle that Ferrari granted the builder permission to use the brand name

Quote:
It all started when David Kay wrote to Enzo Ferrari's son Piero, requesting to build a one-off motorcycle sporting the famous prancing horse badge in tribute to his late father. In a letter dated maranello, 23rd May 1990 and signed by P Ferrari himself (included in the comprehensive press and information file on this lot) Kay receives: ' the approval to place the Ferrari badge on your motorbike' and is wished good luck with his project. When highly reputed MV Agusta 'guru' David Kay set about building this unique piece of engineering from scratch, he looked towards both the future and the past, as he thought of what may have been if Ferrari would have decided to produce a GT or endurance racing machine. Kay was inspired by the fact that Enzo had started his racing on a Scott two-stroke machine and so a project representing over 3,000 man-hours of work was launched.

This bike has been for sale in the York area for nearly ten years. I remember seeing it at Specialist Cars in Malton with same price tag, and its the most hideous looking bike ive ever seen. God knows where they get there prices from.

The Mrs has always made it clear that ill never be allowed a bike. To be fair its the only thing that she's ever said "No" to me about. But if i were in the market for one, then that chopper looks the fish's tits and would be near the top of my list. The Yanks have produced some really stunning one offs

It's a motor dealer and there all classified adds. Notice there is no buy-it-now buttons. You have to call the dealer and discuss it over the phone. You can't leave feedback on a classified add. Most motor dealers are like that.

Wouldn't mind that under the christmas tree but would perfer it to have twice as many wheels and twice as many seats for that price.
