Default Advise Please on TRF201

Hi,

I'm changing from a AE B4.1FT to the TRF201 .

Whats if anything do I need to get or change to run the car !
I see a thread on the idler gear does this need replacing?

I'm running it on carpet indoors, so any help on setup/weights etc would be a great help!

Many thanks for help and advise
Dez

On mine i have the 0.5 rear hubs, rudebits under lipo weight and heavy under servo weight.
Only thing you will need to get you going reliably is the rw or upgraded tamiya idler gear.
I'll try and get my indoor setup on here soon

prob another stupid question, but !

the front wheels on the standard TRF201 are using 1050 bearings, now the AE B4.1 i'm changing from uses the 3/16x3/8 bearings

in short what wheels/bearings/axle combo do you recomend as I see Tamiya do the "Tamiya (54220) TRF201 Front Axle for 3/16 x 3/8 inch" !

thanks for your help again

If you already got AE front wheels, buy the Tamiya Imperial axles and 4 imperial bearings, thats all you need.

I run the imperial axle as the b4 wheels are easier to get hold of in the uk.
