Default df03 brushless gearing

hi guys thinking of putting my brushles in my dark impact,a novak gtb with 6.5 sintered motor not sure on gearing tho at the mo im running brushed a checkpoint 12x2 using a 23 tooth pinion

If you have to try, go with the smallest pinion and biggest spur. Even then, the ratio is still more suited to something like a 8.5T or 7.5T. The 6.5T is going to get very hot because of the ratio limitations and the poor airflow.

Stick with the Tamiya gears, you can run a bigger spur 85T, if you go to 48dp then the biggest you can fit under the cover is 81T. I run 20/85 on a 5 cell Mamba 7700.

When running the small pinions you generally have to modify (elongate) the mounting holes for the motor and also remove some excess plastic from the diff cover to allow the motor room to slide back to get a good mesh on the gears.

One point, If you run the standard chassis I think you will have to modify this to fit a Novak GTB
