Default Saddle Pack Query - Novak Havoc Spec 10.5t

Hi Guys

Hoping someone can help with an iccle question I have.

Thought I'd give 4wd a go, so picked up a b44 and a NovakHavoc Spec 10.5t from fellow ooplers

I've only been running stick pack lipos and had worked out to calculate the ampage to esc balance - is this the same for a saddle pack or do you times by two?

eg the havoc spec ampage is 120a and a 4800mah 25c saddle lipo would either mean 120a (max) or 240a dependant if each lipo carries 120a?

Hope that made sense and really hope someone could give us an answer.

Equally if anyone out there has this set up what is the highest discharge saddle pack lipo that you've been able to use?

Many Thanks all

You're looking at it the wrong way...

The batteries don't force amps through the system, the motor/esc demands amps from the batteries.

Basically, ignore C ratings on batteries, buy based on quality. Every quality battery out there will run a 10.5 motor without breaking a sweat.

Default oh

Thanks for this, actually makes sense now I think about it that way.

So the higher the Mah, no matter what the esc, will ultimately only affect runtime of the lipo itself, cool

Cheers mate
