Default LRP SXX TC Spec V2 - Lipo cut-out problems

I recently bought two SXX TC Spec V2's. One for my 2WD with 7.5T motor and one for my 4WD with a 6.5T motor. On more than one occasion both cars have stopped in a 5 minute race with Lipo Low warning (red/yellow alternate flashing). I have set the ESC's to 3-2-2-2 for my 2WD and 3-3-3-3 for the 4WD. The batteries (5000mah) were fully charged and shouldn't have caused any problem. Also, different batteries give the same fault. On checking the battery voltage the lowest I have detected when I have the problem is 7.4V which is 1V above cut-off. The most current needed to fully charge any of the batteries after the fault has occurred is 1250mah, a quarter of the battery capacity
Has anyone else had this problem?

if only 1v about cut off, could it be cutting off due to volt drop when under load?

I was thinking that too. But, if that is the case, then there is a serious problem with the V2's. I ran V1's with the same car set up for more than a year previously without a glitch. I went to V2's to get the 'Boost' which is certainly an improvement, but I wonder at what cost.
