Default how many lipo saddle sets do you guys run?

i have a set of dark series saddles, and wondering when I had sticks I ran two and charged the other while racing the other.

do you guys reccomend running 1 pack or 2 packs?

I have 2 always, just in case I have a problem with 1!

If you run single class each day though, you can get away with 1!

Phil - I have identical sets of Intellects in each Yokomo. But the point it that they actually live in the car. If I'm racing the FT, I only use the FT's pack, I never swap it for the CP's one.
And I have 3 sets of gold Trakpowers I never use anymore.

So whilst I've got 5 sets of saddles, in practice I only ever use one per meeting.

5 for me too!

Saves panic charging when an evenings meeting only lasts a little over 2 hours which in turn saves having to take chargers and power supplies along.

I get them from HK so 5 packs costs slightly less than what 3 packs would from the UK!

Remember that from 1st Jan you won't be able to charge in the car (unless you have the mother of all LiPo sacks of course). I always take them out to charge anyway for 2 reasons;

1) makes it easier to work on the car if it's not plugged in to the charger
2) if anything did go wrong I would only loose the LiPo not ALL the equipment!

From the point of view of keeping the LiPos healthy you should let them stand and cool before recharging anyway.

Two packs is enough, just make sure they are identical as weights varry wildly!

I tried racing at our club with only 2 packs and even with the pack going on charge as soon as you finish a race it doesn't fully recharge before the next time you need to use it so having 5 packs means no need to recharge away from home.

5 sets is a bit much, I managed on 2 sticks before, 2 sets of dark series will do the job for me

im also a light packer when I go to meets.

The only reason I have two sets is because I got £170 worth of batteries for £44!!

2 sets would be fine for larger meets. probably even 1 set would be fine.

but our club only runs 3 (with 5min break between rounds) or 4 heats so no time to recharge them between and things get frantic with only 2 packs.

I usually only just have time to cool down and re peak my batteries between rounds when there are 4 or more but I do charge at 6 amps!
