All,
Dont suppose anyone know if there is one or one that can be modified to fit in an SSG? Regards Gareth |

Almost certainly not.
But to be honest if you're running a motor hot enough to need a gear diff, you shouldn't be running shaft drive because of the amount of torque steer. With a mild motor, a gear diff offers no benefit. |

Looks like i best be buying some new parts to build a new diff then!
Any advise on suppliers and the right parts to build a couple of brand new diffs? Gareth |

The Yokomo BD diff is the same as the SD diff except for the pulley; you see these come up on ebay fairly regularly. Stay clear of the alloy ones though as they wear out quickly, stick to the standard plastic outdrives (thats what I run on my BD and they work great).

hi Gareth,
Demon have a few of the bits you will need if you want a new diff. Just type 'yokomo SD' in the search and you will find all they have - quite a lot is out of stock, but there are still a few good bits left! I think the layout and balance of a shaft drive with LiPo and brushless is perfect - good luck! |
