Question Kyosho dNano 1/43 racer?

why isn't anyone talking about this model? i've followed this site for a while and its mostly electric support so i'm a little surprised to search and find no posts. is it catching on at all where you are?

I race Mini-Zs but never tried D-nanos. Can you tell us a little more about them, handling-wise?

they are amazingly fast and though there is only one radio option, the transmitter they do provide is adequate and offers a lot of adjustable settings from acceleration adjustment to varying break strength. optional parts include a gyro mechanism that assists in steering correction and handling in corners. i own 3 of them personally... as soon as i got a look at them, i bought one for me, the wife & my 9-yr old son. each car has a built-in transponder that can be registered for online racing with Kyosho's server. its already popular in japan but kyosho is taking their time releasing it overseas.

I love mini-z's so much, I built my own track in the loft, complete with prima GT carpet

the d-nanos would be amazing in my loft due to the relative size. I might have to invest....

sounds like me.... i built a track for the dnano and we decided to start building them for sale since the mini-z track wasn't designed for dnano use. kyosho's tracks are excellent but i'm proud of what we did

*edit* - btw, epoch racers r ok but the technology that has gone into the dNano is waaaay beyond the epoch. unfortunately, the main site has no english and they don't seem to be in a rush to translate it... its like its their new baby but i can understand knowing what they're planning

awesome tracks guys. I got a miniZ when I was in Japan for the Worlds in 07 and sometimes bust it out for a drift round the kitchen - but I've no one to race against so it doesn't see much

i'm not sure... i know for a fact they have not been released for US distribution. one has to buy them from a distributor in southeast asia who has won the rights to sell the model. we ship internationally but kyosho is being strict about online sales at the moment.

your track is superb

is that a lamp or a laptimer on the main straight?

lol... its a lamp, sometimes i run in the evenings in low light cuz it just looks cool to see the cars zooming along a track with "streetlights" ... the laptimer is on the way, kyosho has a special one that detects and counts the imbedded transponder

Hey guys,

Full range is now available in the UK just so you know. As a rule mini racing in the UK in the past has been an hard sell for reasons I can not understand compared to the far East & Europe.

The size now of Dnano is TRUE 1/43rd scale, each body has a specific fitting kit to keep it real so to speak! The perforance out the box is excellent, and really opens doors to school racing, village halls and even just at each others houses like Jatothai has done, nice one mate!

More info here
http://www.kyosho.com/eng/products/r...s9=&sx=&page=1

Available through all good model shops, but more important what a cool control & cost effective way to race and bring new guys into the sport!

Hope this helps
Regards
Karl

My track. I run usually once a week with 3 friends, a blast!
Although the track is big, it's still rather small for the very speedy Mini-Z, so I was thinking about the dNanos.

Add the 2.4 MiniZ module and

Good call. Not sure how well it would hold in the back of a 3VC with nothing to retain it ..... have to look for prices and a UK agent to deal with.

Nothing a little tape can't fix - not really 'factory' though
