Default LRP competition TC 2007

Hi guys,

I have a question abouth the LRP TC + X11 4.5 combo.

Somebody knows if it's a lot quicker than a Novak GTB 5.5?

In the power settings of the LRP is their a lot of difference between setting 1 or 8? The default is 3 so setting it down to 1 should make a difference or not enough??

I'm asking because the 4.5 is the only sintered rotor in the LRP range and I'm afraid it's a bit to quick for me (TRF501X)

Thanks in advance!

5.5 was enough for me, with the sintered rotor it was too much. The 4.5 with sintered would be even more than too much. (this is in my 501X)

on dirt I ran it with the 3* and 6.5 bonded motors.

There might not appear to be much difference in the power levels but it does make a difference. Have a read of my review of the 2007 system on here. Most places I use power setting 2 - 1 in the wet unless I need to clear a jump. My throttle finger isn't the best though so I need all the help I can get.

I will give it a go for the first qualifying of it's to quick I will put the Novak 5.5 back in.

Seems like the LRP has a lot more torque and brake (almost like a brushed motor compared with the Novak. Is this normal or is the novak faulty?

I will let you know how it goes

when you run a 4.5 LRP sintered motor set the speedo to as low settings as you can for punch, initial brake and auto brake.

its FAST.... like you would not believe!

its not really an off-road motor, but it 'does' work with some smooth throttle control

What motor should work best in a 4wd. Is the Orion Vortex 5.5 any good (more torque and brake than the Novak 5.5?)

Thanks

the lrp and nosram have a lot better brakes than the novak which is why i got rid of my novak , the only way i improved the brakes on mine was to use the 4.5 motor which helped a lot

this year I have been using the LRP 5.5 (bonded) in 4WD,

I have also run the 4.5 a few times, its been a bit uncontrolable, certainly has speed but my overall laptimes may be slower than with the 5.5?
