Default Tyres

Having just got back into RC after years away, I was wondering what the best off-road tyres are best for particular tracks/grip levels.

e.g.
Astroturf (Dry): ?
Astroturf (Wet): ?
Grass (Dry): ?
Grass (Wet): ?
Hard packed dirt/clay: ?
Loose dirt: ?
Tarmac: ?
Carpet: ?

What do people think?

Astro & Grass - Dry = Yellow Mini spike (poss Stagger rib on 2wd front on Astro)
Astro & Grass - Wet = 2wd Fr Shuey Green Mini Spike, 4wd Fr & Rear Ballistic Green Mini Spike. Some Astro tracks work well with Shuey Green Mini all round when wet.
Carpet = Yellow Mini Pin

When Toby says "Green Mini all round when wet." I think he means Ballistic Buggy Green minispikes. That said there are some tracks (for example where the astro pile is VERY short) where Schumacher green Minispikes are the hot ticket.

Basically the days of carrying 50 sets of tires around in 10 compounds each has long since left us, if you miss that 1/8th rallycross is the place for you ..

or if you like doing a set of £40 tyres every round just to keep up with daddy's wallet racing team you could try 1/10th touring!!!
