The thing is, being where it is, all I can see that doing is circulating warm air around under the shell?
could do with fitting one the the front window of the shell? sucking the cool air in from outside. |

Personally I don't think motor fans are needed. Speedo fan possibly, but with the correct gearing the motor shouldn't be getting that hot, if it is, go to a quicker wind?

The motor is much cooler but only a part of it. The front is around 35-40° and the back is around 50-55°. I wonder if this is a problem concerning performance ?

Best to make sure that the motor you are using is lower in kV to lower the temps so that would mean a higher wind number i.e. 5.5T is highest kV that I would run but that is very quick so I have a 6.5 instead which is lower in kV that way the whole package of motor and esc is more efficient. I run a Orion Vortex 6.5 on a 22t pinion with a Hobbywing 120A V2.0 and it was as fast as a Losi 8ight 2.0 EU with an RB engine last night and the motor does not get warm at all. On the Durango make sure that the drive train is free. Check all of the bearings in the rear hubs and the front spindles are not being over crushed by a worn out crunch spacer. I use the steel ones and then I can tighten the wheel nuts without having to worry about damaging the crunch spacers.

I dont know why you would need a fan. Proper gearing and proper mesh along with decent ESC settings will keep your motor and
