Default Track in Billinghay lincolnshire

Lo all.

new guy here, so just thought we would let you know about our new "ish" club. Based in billinghay, lincolnshire.

currently they cater for all forms of off road cars, 1/10th +1/8th electric and nitro (buggy/truggy/short course etc etc), and as far as we know we are the ONLY club to cater for 1/5th petrol LSOR (large scale off road) in lincolnshire area, some of our members come from as far away as stamford on a weekly basis!. also they are looking into running a rally cars (including 1/5th mcd rally cars and smaller 1/10th as i belive they are changing the track)

And to make us even more unique we run on clay (its actully a peate/clay based soil) its dry and hard in the summer and after rain it turns to "play dough" offering loads of grip and very little mud kickup (electric will be fine as long as its not torrential rain).

the track is open 24/7, jsut turn up and shove £2 in the honest box on the rear of the podium if you wish to have a days bashing

basicaly we are looking for more members with hopes to get a higher weekly turn over to upgrade the track. at the minuite we are applying for any grants going and also registering with the BRCA. also looking into timing gear.

we race every sunday of the year, this includes rain, snow, ice, christmas sunday and new years weekend (give or take a few of them lol)

anyway here are some of the pics of the racing at the track, if you want to come along or want more info post below or drop me a PM. fyi i dont run the club, i jsut have lots of time to spread the word but im happy to help with any questions.

Cheers!

new venue found in the area.

got a 40 acre field, but starting on a reasonable plot of 30x30 meters (or there abouts) shoud be a super smooth astro track as we are laying hardcore down on as the base and hitting it with a 30 ton roller

we will also be offering a boating club and a heli+aircraft club to. on site there are indoor toilets, places for camping etc etc. but more on that once its up and running. first work party is tommorow so will try to get some pics. should be one of the best clubs in lincs at this rate

works well underway. we have ordered astro (fine pile sand filed stuff) and we are panning on laying it flush to avoid having lips and unessasary ruts in the track. (will update once we start laying after prepping the surface, eta december time)

tim digging away

various ones of the track size and other random stuff (incl that huge 30 ton rolling machine)
