Default heat problem

er..help lol

i got a problem with my electrics getting hot ...so i changed the pinions n set the speedo up to slow it down ..but the heat side of it has not changed ..
seems to run ok . just bit concerned at how hot it gets

can undergearing cause excesive heat? i as cos i dont think ive over geared it ....im bit lost

yep over and under gearing can cause heat probs... what gear are you running?? speedo settings etc...

im only running a basic set up .....
12-1 brushed motor and a Podium 8t speedo
the speedo set up is set for middle rising time ...
im running a 19 pinion on a 87 spur ...tried it with a 21 pinion ...but dont seem to matter ...always gets hot
