the S1 kit is the same as the full carbon kit apart from the chassis and shock mount material. The shape of the chassis etc is the same.
S1 is a cheaper reinforced material, and has a slight bit more flex than the carbon version. This can help generate a little more grip and be more forgiving to drive than the twitchier carbon chassis. S1 parts are also far cheaper to replace like shock towers.

Get an S1 as it's nicer to drive and then spend the extra money getting the titanium turnbuckles and alloy blocks for mounting the wishbones.
I've got both the c/f & s1 chassis and prefer the S1. Shock towers are still c/f |

The S1 kit doesn;t have carbon shock mounts, they are S1 also.
I'd get the SX II if you can, unless you get a very good cheap deal on the old SX. spares wise, front and rear shock tower, front and rear wishbones, pivot block set (plastic) and try and get a stegger brace for the front to strengthen it all up. turnbuckles are prone to bending, so as Mikey says, save the cash by going for a cheaper S1 kit and use the saved money to get a few upgrades.

no, it's far more than £60. the shocks alone are £80.
if you can get a second hand SX for under £120 with a few spares then it is a good deal, as some of the original alloy parts on the SX are now plastic. depends on the condition of the car though
