Thumbs up Servo question!!

I have bought a hitech servo for my ansmann madrat and i have been told that my standard servo horn (with the "f" on it) is not good enough. I want a metal one that is strong and will fit the servo and the screwball thing which ataches to it. can anyone help. I am looking to buy one.

nothing wrong with std servo horns.. rather snap that than fit an alloy one and smash the servo

Your servo horn with the F on it probably WON'T fit a Hitec servo though... F probably means Futaba fitting, which is a different number of splines to the Hitec fitting.

Possible they include one with a H on it somewhere in the kit box?

it may have S for Sanwa, or A for airtronics.
Just try each of the spare ones in the kit until you find the one that fits on ok. They are usually a fairly tight fit to push on, but don't force it, in case it's the wrong size.

Sanwa is a different fit to Hitec.

Odd. Is the car second hand? Any spare servo horns listed in the manual?

If I were you I would return the Hitec servo and buy a Futaba or Sanwa compatible one instead.
