From the Bbc
Ferrari team bosses are summoned to German GP stewards to explain race result

FORMULA 1:

Ferrari say it was Felipe Massa's decision to let Fernando Alonso through to German GP win

Post race interviews say an entirely differant thing. Alonso was blurting out excuses. Respect to Massa for his dignity.
As for Christian Horner talking about team orders.
Latest news Ferrari fined $100,000 but result stands thank you Mr todd

Thats Sh1te!!

They should give them a DQ from the season, suspended. And if they make it so obvious again then the DQ from the season will happen and they will be banned for the rest of the season!

But is it just me, or is it that, when ferrari dominate a race, the race is a bit of a boring presecion?
They've only dominated two races this season and they've both been the most boring.

The FIA (Ferrari International Assistance) have left a sour taste in everyone's mouth. Bet you'll as be watching the next race though!!

Championship won't be budged out of the hands of McLaren or Red Bull whatever they do to support Ferrari. And $100,000 out of Ferrari's $300m budget probably means that Alonso might have to use the same steering wheel for two GPs - shame!!

[RANT]

I haven't been this pissed for a very long time!

It's an absolute disgrace! And I really hope so much pressure is put on FIA now that they take some points away from both Ferrari drivers. Plus make it crystal clear to Ferrai that if this happends one more time they will lose all points in both the drivers and constructors championship, plus one year ban from F1. This is supposed to be entertainment! How naive do they think the fans are???

I used to think F1 is nothing without Ferrari. Now I think F1 would have been much better off without that mafioso team! A bunch of liars!!!

And as to drivers Alonso has been one of my favorites. But the last couple of seasons he has shown a really bad side of himself. For me he's now arrogant, self-occupied and not a fair racing driver.

I felt the same about Schumi, he was my favorite until he delibarately crashed into Villeneuve to try and become world champion again... (Villeneuve comment at the press conference was fantastic btw: "I don't know what happended to Michael, his hands must have slipped on his steering wheel or something...")

How can these guys live with themselves? I understand winning is what they want, but at any cost? If Alonso wins it this year I know where he should put his precious trophy!

And god, I'd wish the FIA had the balls to set up a fan poll on f1.com and let people show what they think about this behaviour!

[/RANT]

For those who haven't read the press conference:

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/85561

Q. (Ian Gordon – News of the World) Fernando, you said after Valencia that the race had been manipulated in favour of Lewis. Those words seem a bit hollow now. Where will this victory rank in your career, is it up there with Singapore 2008?

Q. (Juha Päätalo – Financial Times Germany) Fernando, I think we all know what happened on lap 48 and we don't need any fairy tales about tyres or anything to be clear of that. I just want to ask you, because in 2006 in Monza you said that Formula One is not a sport any more for you but was that which we saw today a sport?

Q. (Ian Parkes – The Press Association) Fernando, you've said that you're happy with this win but to be honest, I've never seen a driver look less happy in the middle of a podium there today, and in the middle of this press conference here. Why can't you just be honest with us for once, and just admit that this win was handed to you on a plate today?

>> very good questions! Very bad or to be honest, no answers...

I doubt theres anything that can be done to rid the sport of team orders, short of devaluing the constructors championship. Would be more like Moto GP then where it's all about the riders championship.

Ferrari were just a bit too open about it all, they coulda just left Alonso on the faster tyres for 3 laps more and done the overtake that way.

Really? But what other teams have used team orders since the ban?

Taking away the constructors championship is indeed a good idea, who really cares about that anyway?

Still, I think Ferrari wants a driver's win most of all. The constructors is just "nice to have". So it wouldn't really help much as to team orders in my opinion.

Nick Fry's comment is very good:

This is sport and the fans out there want to see the drivers fighting. While the teams think it is a teams' championship, most of the fans - possibly with the exception of Ferrari - support the drivers who happen to drive for a team.

Let's all go to this page www.fernandoalonso.com - and ask some fan questions!

The stewards of the race did the most they could do with the fine, its up to the FIA now to decide whether to do more, you never know (Yes i am being hopeful!)
