Default Drive Out Of Corners in Damp

Out of interest, asside from using the throttle a bit more gingerly, is there any way of generating more on power grip to get drive out of the corner in the damp?

Would rasing the gearbox make any difference or is there nothing you can do about it?

Not quite the response I am after there Mike

Just seeing if there is anything technical which would help reduce this.

Default Raising gearbox

Good question? Not sure what raising the gearbox really does or what conditions it would suit.

Other things which can improve drive coming out of corners in a 2wd car are:

Ride height of the rear lower than the front
Lower inner camber link holes
Shorter rear camber link
Softer rear oil
Inner shock mounting position on rear arm
Reduce anti-squat
Add weight to middle and along middle of car

Regarding the lower rear links. Is that just a case of moving the hangers?

Single biggest thing on an X6 is to mov the weight distribution about i.e. take some weight out of the fornt and/or add some to the rear. I personally take the weight plate I have under the servo out and add some under the lipo at the rear, oh and unclip the rear anti roll bar.

Short wheelbase as well.

And raising the tranny does give more drive at the expense of side bite and bump handling.

I think wot he was really looking for was the fact that last nite at oz it was damp and as you put on the power the back end had no side bite and would snake abit out of corners. if you fed the power in gentally the car was gettin plenty of drive just because of the conditions there was little to no side bite to keep the car in a straight line if you jammed the throttle

Brand new balistics this time, so least I had the right tyres

Wasn't my issue really, was just interested in what other people did, I managed to get around fine for the first time out with the car, just trying to understand a bit more if anyone did anything special to aid them in these conditions.

I am there on Sunday Mat, but will speak to you sat anyway.

Hi

Since I didnt set up my ESC- LRP sphere 6,5 combo- from throttle mode 3 to mode 1 I had a lot off sliding problem at accelration out of corners.
Now everithing looks well.
Maybe sometimes not the cars setup is guilty, but the overmotorisation on the slippery track. To change the ESC setup and to decrease the throttlespeed on your transmitter is also a way and not only fight with the screwdriver around your buggy

the setup of the electronic units until now is not mentioned on any setupsheets...maybe it gives sence to visualize it maybe not. Its absolutely personaly feeling, but should help.
