Default Excelorin link

Installed the Losi Excelorin V3 software on my PC, and got the green light on the USB gadget, but it's not recognising the ESC.

Any ideas?

Not too fussed as I know the ESC is working fine - just wanted to check that the LiPo cutoff was enabled.

All plugged in correctly and yes the fan spins up. I'm assuming the ESC does have to be switched on rather than off?

Hog - no - it shouldn't be switched on and do not connect the battery whilst you have the Rx lead connected to the USB link.

Ahhh - thanks for that. At the mo it's hardwired so it's permanently on so that could be the problem. I had a switch arrive in the post yesterday (thanks to Mr C) which will be going on so hopefully that will fix it. I did read about not powering it up while attached to the PC link.

Thanks for the advice chaps - will report back once I've fitted the switch

sounds daft but you have to have full admin control on your pc to be able to use it if not it will let you install the software but it wont work.i had this problem and contacted losi about it and thats what they said got pc sorted and it was fine then.

Wired in the switch - think something funny has been done to it as I wired it up how it should be and - nothing! Had to re-solder the switch using a test meter to get it working.......

Anyway the ESC still works (and I can turn it off now) but still no joy linking to the PC.

Oh well - I guess you get what you pay for on Ebay - it'll do for now
