According to the previous Threads regarding similar topics would it be ok to have a 24 pinion on a 84 Spur in the b44 with a Speed Passion 7.5t motor? I race on a small dirt track. Or should i got down? 22 maybe? The Speed Passion Guide says something different to what i have here: http://www.comeseethis.com/gearing/Default.aspx I took the LRP motor as they have no Speed Passion here... Any help would be appreciated.

24 sounds about right. maybe 23. I run a 22 on my 6.5 at Kiddy track without any problems and the motor is barely warm when I finish a race. Try it and see

21 at most!
I was told by Bradders that he runs a 6.5 with std spur and a 22 pinion EVERYWHERE.... no exceptions.

surely the brand of motor makes a difference though? - from what I understand, the SP v3 motors need a couple of pinions higher than the LRP/Nosram x12's (according to Ellis on another thread somewhere)

No idea buddy. I don't know what motors Paul uses.
Still haven't worked out why our silly little sport is the only one to use "turns" rather than kv ratings.
