Default Who distributes X6

HI guys, I'm wondering who distributes these kits so I can get one from my local model shop. Or is there an online shop that has these at a good price? £300 for the XFK021 seems VERY expensive compared to other cars such as the B4 and SV

Thanks Glenn

Yes as CFR has pointed out we are indeed the distributor for the entire range of X-Factory products here in the UK.

All of their products are available from any of our dealers shown on our website.

I am not too sure that I agree with you regards the expense of our new XFK021 X6 Squared EC kit however.

Until now our cars were only achievable by buying an X6 conversion and adding it to an existing (or new) AE B4 kit (which would cost £145 for the conversion and another £190 for the B4), but now the car is available as a complete kit in the one box for less than £300 at several of our dealers (£349.99 RRP) and a higher spec too.

Whilst we understand that EVERY car has option parts available for it, you will find that our car is already loaded with many parts that would simply be extras on other makes and models. Our car includes all of the following parts as standard spec - a full set of Lunsford Titanium turnbuckles, a full set of Lunsford titianium ballstuds, J Concepts ball joints, MIP C-CVD driveshafts with long wheel axles, ballraced steering, tungsten carbide diff balls, graphite X-Factory supsension arms, titanium hinge pins as well as a whole host of other X-Factory parts made to the very highest standards of fit and quality too.

It is also fair to say that comparing to the B4 is also now a little out of date with the car rapidly gaining in age and showing in its lack of popularity across the countries race tracks right now. It is rumoured that the new B4.1 FT will be with us soon and it is rumoured to be somewhat more expensive than its older model as you would expect.

The cars to compare to would at present be the Cougar SV Pro (£269.99 RRP), the new Tamiya TRF201 (£329.99 RRP) and the Kyosho ULtima RB5 SP2 (£319.95 RRP) all of which are current models and far more comparable in price to our own buggy.

Thanks guys.

I do want to get one of these but I still think it's overpriced . Especially considering the first thing I need to do is modify or change the chassis to allow saddles in order to get the best performance. It doesn't even come with wheels! .

My 15 year old B3 came with most the "mods" you listed above and I don't really see the point in titainium hinge pins and ball studs - I've never broken a steel one and as far as weight saving goes most people just fill the chassis with brass weights anyway!

Don't get me wrong the performance of this car is very impressive (hence why I want one) but I have to ask are there any plans to design a new car around lipo's anytime soon that would leave the current car out of date? It seems strange to bring out a "new" kit still designed around 6 cell weight distributions.

Please don't take what I say as being negative towards the X6, the performance of the car on track and the results speaks for themself, but I hope you understand where I'm coming from.

Thanks again and I'm sure I'll be ordering one in the near future regardless .

Hi, your point of view and opinion is almost most welcome and we take it as just that....

The car as standard will accept saddle LIPO's with no extra purchase required, the new saddle pack LIPO chassis (to run the cells and concentrate the mass in the middle of the car) is, just like every other car has, just an option (that can "easily" be done yourself in just a few minutes if you wish). In fact Ellis TQ'd the first national of this year at Talywain with stocks across the centre, that was just a month or two back and still an option to us for tuning the car......

As far as wheels go, if we put in spokes, poeple would want dished, if we put in yellow they would want white and so on, this is why there are no wheels or tyres in our car...

The idea behind the titanium balls tuds is two fold, they are the best material for the job possible and they help to keep the weight low (which is always were heavy brass is added) and not high up where all the ballstuds are positioned. The car was a no compromise design when it was concieved and this is one area we wanted absolute strength with todays ever increasing brushless and LIPO power (same reason for the Lunsford turnbuckles too, why other cars that are £260+ dont include titanium here is beyond us - we prefer to include these than our "pretty" anodised motor plate for instance)

I can confirm that with the release of the latest X6 Sq EC there are no current plans at all to replace it in th near future..... (despite the NIMH chassis layout, which until recently - just a month or two back - was still the choice of many big r/c countries who did not allow LIPO including Japan)

Thanks for the positive comments too, we very much hope to see you on an X6 Sq EC soon.........

Thank you very much for you detailed explainations. It's very much appreciated. I'm also glad you have no imediate plans to redesign the car. I can honestly say I WILL be buying one very soon.

One last thing regarding the wheels. Are they just B4 wheels used on the X6?

Cheers.
