Default mamba max pro and catsx2

hi ive been having a problam just got the mamba max pro and its been seriousley overheating and the wires on the batt were unsoldering ive just removed the corally plugs of the bat wires and put new ones on and it seams to work fine could the problam have been crap conectors?
also what pinion should i run with the cat sx2 (standard) with a 6.5 or a 8.5 motors?

poor conectors can incress resistance witch will then generate heat so yes it can, my i run a mamba max pro and mine get warm after a good hard race, but never get hot :-) what batterys are you using? and what motor? basicly does the batterys have enough ampage to run the motor? if was on 4mm bullets before these shouldnt of really caused a problem unless are old, have u replaced them with the same?

I would suggest a 22 pinion is a safe starting point for a 6.5T but it depends on track, indoors/outdoors, motor type and settings on the speed controller.

For example, I run 23/83 outdoors with a Speed Passion 5.5 but if anything, I think its a touch over-geared for some tracks...
