Default DEX410 & Tekin

Just wondering if I have something wrong, or if it's the norm.

Car goes backwards when throttle moved forward.

I'm using a Futaba 3VC, Tekin RS Pro in the DEX410.

I have to reverse the throttle channel on the transmitter for the Tekin to go through it's setup correctly, using brushless forward only. If I have the Tx throttle in normal the Tekin won't get beyond the nuetral point.

I have triple checked the wiring between the motor and speed controller (A to A, B to B & C to C).

To fix this I just need to select the reverse motor option on the hotwire, but has anyone else had to do this.

Is there any implications with using the reverse motor option in relation to physical and dynamic timing, using Dual Mode currently.

Check your diffs are in the right way round.
Screw heads should be at the bottom.
Ring gear should be on the right when looking at the front and back of the car.

I had to reverse the throttle on my futaba to get the tekin to program too so thats not a problem.

I bet Adam is right and your diffs are the wrong way.

Mr Eccleston,
You're not the first, and you won't be the last.
Wonder why Adam knows so much about it? j/k Adam!

I almost did it to the rear diff, but luckily noticed a post on oOple about it, while I was installing the diff. Otherwise, I would have had a pushme-pullme!

I've not put my diffs in the wrong way yet, but I have forgot to put the front centre drive shaft back in the slipper out drive after changing cells, wondered why it lit the rear tyres up and dug itself a hole off the line

Hi mr eccleston,

bugleaio is correct, it is a well known fact that when using futaba systems you need to reverse the throttle in order to be able to set the R1/RS speedo, so don't worry about that. It doesn't affect the motor's rotation however and Adam is most certainly correct you must have put the diffs in the wrong way around, easy mistake on shaft cars that many of us have made.
