Just wanted to pick someones brains about sintered motors, I have brought a 6.5 and 5.5 or 2wd and 4wd respectively. What sort o gearing is running on sintered? How are you adjusting the speed controls? I run a xx4 and xxxcr... And most importantly, how is everyone inding them? S

I've not raced with one but I know that guys like mr.cragg dont run sintered with a 2WD. When I had a go in my tamiya 4wd it certainly had a bit more grunt and was generally more agressive - it felt good to be honest.

I suspect the main reason Mr Cragg doesn't run sintered in 2wd is because of his sponsor. Nosram (and therefore LRP) only do sintered rotors in their 4.5 (and lower?) motors. That would be a bit quick even for someone of his God-like skills!
Paul, after we spoke earlier I was thinking that a lower overall ratio would help to reduce the natural drag brake effect. I was thinking about when you release the throttle on a real car in 1st gear compared to, say, 5th...? The drag effect is still quite strong with my Vortex motor (with the ESC drag brake set to zero), but then the magnets seem far more powerful compared to the X11 motors we're used to running.

depends on the motors - but generally gear them up.
