One for Kev I guess
![]() I've finally bought the drillbits to drill my pistons, so they will have 2 holes like the new team softer ones. As i'm running kit X11 springs, what weights oils should I go for for tracks like Bury / Southport / Batley etc (grass, astro and bumps) Cheers. Andy. |

I have a bit of an update to that but I haven't had chance to write it down yet.
If you haven't drilled your pistons yet I'm now running the additional 57 hole in the front and a single hole at the rear drilled out to 55. Starting point for oils with these pistons would be 32.5 front and 25 rear. It's probably worth carrying 22.5 through to 37.5. Springs i pretty much run all the time are blue front and red rear. I'll get that update sorted soon! Kev |

Cheers Kev
I've some older x10 springs, they are redish, sort of brownish red ! Are the x10 springs the same as the X11 springs? Also do you run the compensator spring front or rear ? Cheers |

The x10 springs I have in the shop are identical. The only difference being that they are black... Not sure why yours are that colour..
Anyway, this is the order Soft 6.5 turn (red) medium 6.0 turn (yellow) hard 5.5 turn (blue) then there's silver that is extra hard but I wouldn't bother with that for outdoor hope that helps |

Nearly forgot, just run the compensator spring on the rear.

Bloody springs ! So confusing.....
Here's a piccy of what I have in my pred spares box. They are green, redish brown, purple and silver. I also have the kit X11 springs which are black..... So... are any of these any good or the same as the blue and red ones ! Thanks. Andy. ![]() |

Andy
Those springs look like P8 springs or earlier! From the x10 onwards, the springs have all been black and without any means of identification on them, other than counting the number of "turns" per spring. I am not sure if the ones you have are simply fore runners of the current springs. If I remember correctly, I uploaded a spring chart to the-pred.co.uk. Maybe it's worth downloading that and matching your springs against the ones on the chart. The chart is 1:1, so it should be fairly easy to see what you have. |
