Default cougar body shell

Is it just me or is the shell a pain in the ass to get on / off? Are people cutting bits off or what?, cos mine will probably crack at some point in the near future from all the bending needed to use it.

take a dremmel to the groove thats alreay there and extend it just into the vertical part of the cover but only just so it will bend without cracking,

With the shocks on the rear of the wishbones, its a piece of p*** to get on and off.

I've found shocks on the back generally gives a more forgiving car.

Shocks on the front makes the car a little more direct and is generally quicker over a single lap.

Practise makes perfect with the shell!

As recommended I have only raced the car with the shocks at the front, I tried one club race with them at the back and replaced them straight away.

Tom's comments above are spot on, the car feels alot safer with them at the rear (I could tell that from the one run) but I couldn't produce the quick laps I needed too

indeed the shell is a right royal pain. I'm planning on trying the shocks on the rear, but got to swap the front wishbones first and then 5 degree yokes first. I love the car as it was, so can't see the rear shocks making it better.

Prob for me at my track is that I'm not super quick, but I am consistent.

Otherwise the car wsas superb. I'll have to have shocks on the rear when my Kifopaint shell turns up!!

another option is get a second shell. cut the the part that covers the spur and use the bk fixing point then uve got a gear cover. and cut the shell to over lap the gear cover seen it done looks good
