I'm trying to choose my next car but i'm what you would call...stuck!
I can't decide which one to get! ![]() My choice is between the Durango DEX410R and the Schumacher CAT SX2..... I can't make a decision based on price as they work out pretty much the same, CAT = £319.99 DEX = £240.00 + (£80 for saddle pack lipo's) I was just wondering, if you was spending £300 of your hard earned cash, What would you choose?? What problems do you know of, if any? Pro's and con's of owning one car over the other? Any info or advice would be more than appreciated ![]() Thanks Shaun. |

go with what other people at the track have most, that way they can help you with any problems or tunning.

All I can say the catsx is a great car with the lead weight in with the losi pistons.
But I haven't raced my catsx2 yet, but I have done a few batterys so far and the car is better and the big bore shocks are worth it them self. But I am racing the catsx2 this weekend and will update you on monday if you want? |

isn't this about the 5th thread you have started on the same topic?!! I think everyone has already given their opinion already.
Oh, and just get an S1 cat, it's cheaper and better for a club racer.

Durango all the way Shaun if you ask me. Great car plus your bro runs one and is close buddies with big guns in the team so car support would be great. My 410 is awesome and TD really helpfull. Lots of setups around now. No brainer if I were you.

Sorry for the delay, right the catsx2 is a great car to drive, the big bore shcoks have changed the car for the better. It is better over the bumps and landings of jumps, I had a few problems with the set up and a screw came out of the pully behind the slipper, but put more lock tight on that and never happened again. I found that the car had to much steering and tried changing the front pivot blocks from 7.5 to 10 which did make the car easy to drive, then a team driver lent me the 12.5 wih 4.5lb spring on the front and that was spot on. But had to give them back because he needed them, went backt to the 7.5 with the 4lb springs on the front and put in the lead weight from my other cat and that worked and kept the car safe to drive with a new set of boots on. Put the wrong tyre on for the first leg of the final.
Hope this helps because I am not the best driver in the world, but now I have a good starting point on the car which is safe and easy to drive. If you speak to some of the team drivers I find that they are very forward coming with setup information. |
