Default front wheel issue on 511

Has anybody else had issues with the front wheel hex not fitting correctly on Tamiya (51320) wheels? I've got 3 sets and all have needed some modification for the hex to fit properly. Thought maybe I just had a bad set but another 511 racer had the same issue today when he tried fitting new wheels.

Never had the white ones but from the yellow one i can say i never had an issue fitting them on my DB01R which i think you have the same construction of hexes.

Ive got the old and the updated white rims and never had any problems. Only wheels I have had issue with are the JConcepts rulux which have a deeper hex so you need to bang a washer in there to space it out.

They fit correctly only the fit is very tight. You need to position the wheel as best as possible and then put on the wheel nut and tighten that to push the wheel over the hex.

Over time the tightness eases and they shove right over the hex.
Virgin wheels so to speak
