Default Worksop winter series Buggy ONLY!

http://www.rcracechat.com/vb/showthr...540#post279540

Race Dates For Winter 2007-2008
Ok everyone sorry for the delay, but I can now confirm that almost all dates are confirmed and sorted for the Big Schumacher fully supported Series for this coming winter.
There shall only be buggies racing in 2wd and 4wd, sorry no touring cars this time as we want to design all tracks specifically for the use of off road buggies with lots of massive jumps and obstacles!!!
The ONLY tyre permitted for use shall be the Schumacher mini pin tyre!!!
Its looking like we have managed to get the last sunday of every month from Sept right through until March, except for December where we can't get a race meeting during this month due to the venue being fully booked for lots of christmas parties, so therefore there shall be 2 events held in January to make up for this. Also this means that there won't be many clashes with other local events on the same day. So get the following dates in your diary or on your race calendar!!!!

The dates are as follows:

Round 1 Sunday 30/09/07
Round 2 Sunday 28/10/07
Round 3 Sunday 25/11/07
Round 4 Sunday 06/01/08
Round 5 Sunday 27/01/08
Round 6 Sunday 24/02/08
Round 7 Sunday 23/03/08

Watch this space for entry forms and more details to follow very shortly!!!!
Entry forms shall be on here and also in Model Shops soon!!!!!

One thing I can say for now before all speculation starts, is as things stand at the minute there shall be NO use of Lipo batteries at the venue once again. Please don't use this thread to argue the point regarding this matter. Hope to see you all there once again, and also to the many people that haven't been for years and have been asking me when the series will be up and running again!!!!!

Are there any restrictions, brushless or brushed, also is it the green rubber surface that used to be where the BRCA finals used to be?

I am very tempted. Are 4200 IP batts legit? as i have just bought a set?

I think motors will be open as normal. And I used IB 4200's last winter there, so they will be fine.

the surface is like orange rubbery/corky type affair, plenty of grip....unless its cold. Just like anywhere indoors really.

I'll be doing it to keep my thumbs warm during the winter.

Dan,

Very true, I never made the A there, just plenty of B's at the regional finals.

I cant grumble though as it wasnt so much the settings that got the positions rather than smoothness, and I bettered my driving as the day went on, but for some daft reason I was better at 2wd than 4wd.

Still 11th wasnt bad for my last race there, gutted Darren Styles took me out though two laps from the end of the last round, otherwise it might have pushed Harris out the A. Never mind it was a fun weekend and I do recall being in a hedge the night before with some young lady, hehehehe

Great stuff, only been there once but enjoyed it.. the only grumble I had was that most of the track was pretty boring, but without the touring cars it shoudl be ace as I liked the unusual surface and the jumps were great.

yup the jumps were fun and if you got it wrong then the exit would ruin your quick exit, but i enjoyed the straight and trying to see if I could reach top end.

Yup he did, and dirty was his middle name, as he barged his way past even tho i was two or three seconds ahead on the clock.

Still I had fun and I enjoyed 4wd more to 2wd, even tho the B2 was so easy to set up.
