The 2.1 is intended for stock touring racing, it has an aluminium low profile case and comes with stock motor software installed.
2.0 LPF is intended for mild modified motors. 2.0 Pro will run pretty much anything. |

I believe that the hardware for the 2.0 Pro and the 2.1 Stock Spec are the same. This is from the Speed Passion thread on the RCTech website. The 2.1 Stock Spec comes pre-loaded with software aimed at getting the most out of high turn stock motors. Its the opposite of the usual case where running lower turn motors will cause the motors to overheat and not the speedo. With the original software it is likely to blow any motor lower than 10.5 turns. There is a USB programming interface available to change the software versions and any SP 2.X speedo can run any of the available softwares.
It would be best to get clarification on it from someone who knows for certain, the Speed Passion website is a bit better now than it used to be. Ben |
