Default SC10 Diff Question

Just building mu new SC10 and wondered how smooth the diff should be once greased and built

I'm more used to ball diffs so not sure if I've got it right or not. It's not too bad but you can definitely feel the gears meshing inside...Should it be super smooth or does it need breaking in a bit first...

PS I followed the manual for shimming but have seen mention of putting all the shims within the diff rather than 1 inside and 1 outside per side...
