Default Neewb,charging woes.

Hello everyone.
I'm very new to RC and have recently acquired a
Competition Electronics Pitbull X3 charger.

I have three batteries.
1 NiCd 1900 mAh
1 NiMH 3700 mAh
1 NiMH 4300 mAh.

What charge rates should i be using and how long should it take to charge ?
Will the charger stop charging automatically ?
Should i be using single rate or triple rate charging ?
What difference will it make ?

I will apologise now for my supreme dumbness.
Sorry !
Any help will be most graciously received.

Golden rule: charging rate = 1C

so for the 1900mAh pack = 1.9 Amps
" " " 3700mAh pack= 3.7 Amps
" " " 4300mAh pack = 4.3 Amps

With regards to the charger 'modes' I would say discharge the NiMH packs, equalize, then charge once. If setup correctly, the charger should cut out properly, so I would read the manual before starting off.

HTH

Mark

I've had a good look through the setting and I can't find a Nicad setting.

I used to run 3700mah cells and always charged at 5A as recommended by manufacturer (Novak). never had any problems. From what I remember About 45 mins charge time from discharged.
