Default Speed Passion GT2.1 DMTS compatible with GT2.0 esc?

Do any of the Schumacher/Speed Passion people out there know if the Dynamic timing for the GT2.1 is hardware specific or if it is a software thing? Basically will the new firmware for the GT2.0 have dynamic timing? I have a GT2.0 and got creamed by all of the people with GM Genius speed controls. I was going to try and sell the Speed Passion and upgrade, but I'm hoping I won't have to!

New software is available for the GT/LPF/Xerun speedos. I've just put the firmware 'V1.1_091110STOCK' on my Xerun 120a, and it sounds alot revvier :P

You need the LCD Programmer to update the firmware. There's loads available: - (these are for the silver gt2.0)

version1_1 =V1.00_080926a_U
version1_2 =V1.00_081014a_U
version1_3 =V1.00_081017a_U
version1_4 =V1.00_081025a_U
version1_5 =V1.00_081105a_U
version1_6 =V1.00_081206a_U
version1_7 =V1.00_081218a_U
version1_8 =V1.00_081231a_U
version1_9 =V1.10_090105a_U
version1_10 =V1.10_090115a_T
version1_11 =V1.10_090205a_T
version1_12 =V1.10_090205b_T
version1_13 =V1.10_090205c_T
version1_14 =V1.10_090205g_w
version1_15 =V1.10_090205f_T
version1_16 =V1.10_090205g_T
version1_17 =V1.10_090312a_T
version1_18 =V1.10_090323a_T
version1_19 =V1.10_090323a_w
version1_20 =V1.10_090323a_m
version1_21 =V1.10_090731c_t
version1_22 =V1.10_091023STOC
version1_23 =V1.1_091107STOCK

version1_25 =V1.10_091115a_w
version1_26 =V1.10_090731c_w

However, (thanks to pidge) I believe for off-road you should be using the one in bold above (comes as standard on the silver arrow, not sure about the others).

The firmware updates are on the Speed Passion website
http://www.speedpassion.net/en/catagory.asp?c=ESC
but you need a Speed Passion/Hobbywing program box to install them, like
http://www.hobbywing.com/english/Art...?ArticleID=446
which seem to be under £20 delivered on everybodys fav auction site.
(Disclaimer, I have not personally updated firmware on my ESC so can't vouch for this!)

However, the current software seems to only let you adjust the timing advance to a single value, where as the GM and new Novak software lets you adjust it as a function of motor RPM. This is what I'm really after, and am hoping DMTS means.

But the million dollar question is, is this a hardware thing or is it just software?

Speed Passion website. Download General Software V1.32. The stock profiles are on there. Linky. Here's new firmware in action out on the street, motor is a Speed Passion V3.0 13.5. Linky. While there's no noticeable 'turbo' function, it feel alot faster.

How do you come to the bold file for a gt pro? I will set mine to this, but would like to know how the decision was reached

Sounds like Pidge, aka Lee Martin, has suggested to use that one... Can't get a much better recommendation than that

Indeed, I'd agree with that.

Cheers
