The address and Postcode for KMRC is: LINTON, Maidstone, Kent. ME17 4BB
Only directions I have are from the North. Linton is a village on the A229 South of Maidstone, leaving the village, heading south the road you want is the second on the right, opposite Linton Park. Proceed down this lane for approx. 1/2 mile and after a 90 degree right look for a new/re-furbished Oast house on your left the track down to KMRC is down the right-hand side of the oast house. I will ask Mark Bailey to get on here and give us more details, if available. Tyres: These were discussed at the Regional meeting and it was agreed by ALL represented clubs that we would, after testing, nominate tyres for this event to save drivers having to buy specialised and expensive tyres that they may not be able to use elsewhere. In the interests of keeping this short, following a visit to the venue, testing and consultation with experienced drivers, both of rallycross vehicles at the venue and 1:10 electric, nominated tyres will be either Schumacher or Ballistic Buggy. The surface at KMRC, though dirt, on the day we visited and tested, was slightly dusty on top and off-line but underneath the dirt was soft and needed a harder compound tyre than expected, the rallycross drivers use a fairly hard compound block pattern tyre. It's expected that Schumacher Mini Spikes will work in both Green and Yellow compounds, maybe even Blues! It should be noted that the day in question the weather was cold but dry. Tyre type and compound will be up to the individual driver but they MUST BE manufactured by either Schumacher or Ballistic Buggy. IN THE INTERESTS OF FAIRNESS FOR DRIVERS, CARS WILL BE CHECKED |

Just spoken to Mark B and it all sounds good!
![]() Track's dry but dusty (not surprising since the lack of rain we've had recently!), they've spent many hours this week, rolling and re-profiling the track just for us 1:10 boys & girls. Toilet facilities are due to be delivered tomorrow and there'll be a supply of nibbles and cold drinks (hopefully looks like we might need them too!) on site. Apparently my directions are pretty good but..... Work permitting either Mark or Hannah will get on here when they can and give us all the final details, so just watch this space! See you all Sunday ![]() |

Hi Guys,
sorry its so late but been we have both been working loads lol. Ok track is sorted for Sunday, We have a toliet (which is coming tomorrow morning), we are also going to have cans of drink for sale and some nibbly bits too, there is a garage at the top of the hill so if you want a sandwich and dont have time to make one you can get one from there. The directions to the track are, Follow the A229 towards Hastings and Staplehurst, You will be get to a cross roads follow down to Linton, At the bottom of the hill there is a sign for Berry Gardens follow that down Redwall Lane, Follow the road down and there is an Oast House called Welldishes the turning into the track is about 50 yards down from the Oast (we will try and put the banner up at the end of the drive so you know where it is) Follow the dirt track down past the poly tunnels and through the green gate and keep following until you go past another lot of poly tunnels and down through the gate at the end of the track, Turn left when you get through the gate at the end and you will see the track at the end of the field to the left. The closet post code to the track is ME17 4BB but that post code does take you past the Oast house so just make sure you turn in just after. If there is any thing else you want to know just let me know and i will answer them for you. Many Thanks Hannah |
