Default Charleroi 24 hour race blog

Wotto chaps, fine day in blighty, what?

The following telegram is sent to you as we prepare for our final push to cross over into foreign territory at first light/last darkness. 3 comrades have arrived at the rendez-vous point on the coast of Kent. 3 comrades are missing in action.

Last known movements were as follows;

5.00pm - Car 1 left Nottingham (Rob B, Paul, Ant) with all equipment & provisions packed & ready to go.

6.30pm - Car 2 (The Chucklebus) left Nottingham with The MotorKiller driving and Mr J & Lloyd playing rear gunners on the back seat...

8.20pm - radio (text) contact is made with the Chucklebus. The chuckling has ended because they have had to return to base to collect Mr J's passport....

9.20pm - Car 1 arrived at the secret rendez-vous point (The Travelodge in Canterbury).

10.00pm - the Chucklebus has arrived back at base. WIll they make it to the rendez-vous in time for the advance across the ENGLISH channel? We set off at dawn.

Radio silence will now be maintained until first light.
