Default Swansea National Good Points

Despite the other thread I'd like to all of oOple land to note that the 1/18th Micro National at Swansea was a fantastic event which ran very smoothly and hopefully with more meetings such as this one will show that 1/18th is a growing class and can be a great class to race in

I've only attended the last 2 Micro Nationals and can only leave positive comments about all aspects of the meetings. I'd urge you to pop along to http://www.uk-microrc.co.uk/forum/ to have a look at what goes on in the world of Micro!!

Whereas 1/10th will always remain my priority I will continue to attend as many 1/18th events as I can and would recomend this class to anyone who would like a play! Not to detract from the class as it is serious racing and it can't be too bad if I can TQ a National, come on down and see if you can do better!

If it grows it won't be 1/18th, it'd change to 1/15th or something

Dave, you might be closer to the truth than you realise. Keep an eye on our EGM in April

Jonesy is 100% right, was an absolutely fantastic day. Superb track and a very well run event. He was doing some low flying, only wish his car held up during the final

Rock on Hereford! Hereford is usually one of if not the best national of year. Don't miss it!!

Thanks for the kind words about the Micro Section Jonesy, tis appreciated

You had a stunning day, and were set for a complete domination of your A-final till your electrical issues cut you short

Thanks for helping out with refereeing as well. I know that some hate it and some dont mind it, but I appreciate all that help on that microphone

See ya at Hereford fella!

No worries about the ref situation mate, it's better than marshalling the low heats

I heard from one regular A Finalist on Sunday that he's not enjoying the longer chassis and moving back to the shorter one, not sure if he'll go through with it or not!!

Also, Can you bring along one of the Rear Hammerhead Shock Towers to Hereford for me? I was meant to ask you for this weekend just gone but forgot!! Need it for the collection!

Each to his own but I know for a fact that you would need a very big crowbar to get the long chassis out of Mark Stiles' hands. I think one of the problems are that under the current rules we have to muck around with cutting wishbones and things to make it fit the size box and it messes a little with the geometry and smoothness of things. Hopefully if we get it voted in at the EGM we'll be able to run the car like it should be. I also love the fact that some people like it and maybe some don't because it mixes things up a little which is good for the racing.

I will have some shock towers with me at Hereford, see you there.

Griff - Hereford is on the 21st of March. It's usually one of the best micro nationals of the series and not to be missed so if you are considering it, get booked in!
