Default Which SP motor ?

Im after a new brushless motor , I want to stick with speed passion becuase this is what i run in my TC

Im after one for a 2wd , Looking at a 8.5t as i aint a brilliant driver yet

This is where i dont know what to do as speed passion have 2 8.5turn motors....

The v3.0 , Around £75
http://www.speedpassion.net/en/productDetails.asp?p=8

The v2.0 (but newer design then the old ones??) This one costs half the price at £35
http://www.speedpassion.net/en/productDetails.asp?p=32

Now i aint going to be winning any championships so am i going to notice much differance because obviously the price differance is alot but obviously for a reason ?? surely the adjustable timing doesnt double the price ??

What would you guys suggest for a relative beginner to offroad ?

I'd buy the V3 purely for the plugs tbh

I understand the plug system is handy and creates a direct connection because i have a v3 13.5t in my touring car, but does it warrant double the price

I also notice that the 8.5T & 7.5T v3 has no holes in the can yet all the other version 3's do ???

ive only ever done indoor TC racing with a 13.5t v3 SP motor and it seems fast enough for me to control it well

will 8.5T seem to quick to me ?
Also can anyone answer why there is no holes in the can of the 8.5 and 7.5 SP v3.0
